Description
Vintage 1976 M.J. Hummel annual collector plate produced by W. Goebel-Porzellanfabrik of Rödental, West Germany, representing the sixth issue in the original Hummel annual plate series introduced in 1971. Officially titled “Apple Tree Girl,” this hand-painted porcelain plate features a charming bas-relief scene of a young girl in a red headscarf and blue dress seated on the branch of a blossoming tree beside a small blue bird, with sculpted detailing that creates a subtle three-dimensional effect when displayed. The year “1976” is prominently shown at the lower front, and the M.I. Hummel signature is typically embossed near the figure. Marked HUM 269 and measuring approximately 7½ inches in diameter, this collectible plate remains in good vintage condition with light, age-appropriate wear.
