Description
A pair of claves, which are a fundamental percussion instrument in Latin American music. They consist of two short, solid wooden sticks or dowels that are struck together to produce a sharp, resonant sound. Claves serve as the rhythmic backbone or "key" (the word clave means key or code) in various musical styles, including salsa, rumba, and son. They are made from dense hardwoods like grenadilla or rosewood for a rich, dark tone. 8" L Good condition.
