An antique Chinese carved camphor wood chest. The chest features intricate, detailed hand carvings on the top and front, depicting landscapes or ceremonial scenes. It is made from fragrant camphor wood, which naturally discourages insects and was historically used for traveling trunks. Early to mid 20th century. Includes decorative brass hardware, such as latches and backplates. 40" L x 20.75" W x 22" H Good condition.
