Description
Hand-carved wooden sculpture depicting a standing antelope / gazelle with elongated neck and tall, tapering horns, accompanied by a smaller animal at the base. Executed in teak or a comparable hardwood, the figure shows visible natural grain and a smooth polished surface. The stylized form and subject are consistent with African decorative carving produced for export during the mid-20th century. Measures approximately 19 in. H x 7 1/2 in. W. Overall good condition with light wear consistent with age and handling.
