Description
A hand-carved two-tone wooden heart-shaped box from Africa. It is made from two contrasting types of wood, likely African ebony or a similar dark wood and a lighter wood such as maple or walnut. The dark part has the deep, nearly black core associated with African ebony or blackwood, which is often used for high-end, detailed items and decorative inlays due to its density and hardness. The lighter, more golden part on the lid provides a strong visual contrast, a common design choice in handcrafted wooden boxes. 3.5" L x 2.75" W x 2" H Good condition.
