Description
This vintage Karastan Multicolor Panel Kirman rug, design #717 from the renowned Original 700 Series, is a distinguished American-made textile celebrated for combining exceptional durability with the refined appearance of a traditional hand-knotted Persian carpet. Power-loomed in the United States using Karastan’s precise Axminster weaving technique, the rug is crafted from 100% premium fully worsted New Zealand wool pile. The design reflects the classic Persian Panel Kirman style first introduced by Karastan in 1937, featuring richly detailed floral motifs, branching foliage, and ornamental elements arranged within distinct multicolored panels and framed by an intricate border. Its vibrant palette is anchored by deep red tones and complemented by nuanced shades of blue, teal, light yellow, green, ivory, and numerous subtle accent colors. Measuring approximately 29.5 inches long by 52 inches wide and presented in good overall condition.
