Description
This extensive Coalport bone china dinnerware set dates to approximately the 1920–1929 period, as indicated by the maker’s mark on the underside. The design is traditional, featuring a deep cobalt blue border with softly scalloped, ornate edges highlighted by heavy gold gilt decoration. Within the blue border are cream-colored reserve panels adorned with intricate gold scrollwork, while the centers display delicate hand-painted bouquets of pink, yellow, and red roses with green foliage. The collection includes multiple dinner plates, smaller salad or side plates, stacks of saucers, and several two-handled soup or bouillon cups with matching saucers. The largest plate measures approximately 10.5 inches in diameter. One piece has been broken and carefully glued, while the remainder of the set shows good overall used condition with typical light wear consistent with age.
