Description
This Crystal Clear Murano hand-blown art glass basket bowl is an original Italian piece retaining its original tag and likely dating to the mid-20th century, around the 1960s–1970s. Crafted using traditional glassblowing techniques, the basket displays subtle air bubbles and natural asymmetry characteristic of handmade glass, along with a rough pontil mark on the base where it was separated from the glassblower’s rod. The sculptural, free-form design features a clear glass body accented by soft pastel swirls of blue, pink, and green that flow organically through the piece, while the pulled-glass shaping creates ruffled, starfish-like edges. Measuring approximately 7 inches high, the basket remains in good condition.
