Description
This handcrafted porcelain trinket or ring dish by studio potter Bill Campbell showcases the artist’s distinctive crystalline glaze technique, featuring vibrant starburst-like crystal formations created through carefully controlled firing and slow cooling cycles. The glossy surface displays layered tones of blue, gold, brown, and cream that shift organically across the dish, producing a luminous, one-of-a-kind finish reminiscent of frost patterns or celestial forms. Wheel-thrown and finished with Campbell’s in-house formulated glazes, the piece reflects the artist’s long career in American studio pottery and his work at Campbell Studios, founded in 1979. Signed on the underside and originally sold through Blue Oak Gallery, the dish measures approximately 5 3/8 inches in diameter and remains in good condition.
