Description
Signed studio pottery flower frog bowl by American ceramic artist Bill Campbell, sold through Blue Oak Gallery. Executed with Campbell’s in-house formulated crystalline glazes, the piece displays layered blue and brown tones with subtle crystal formations and flowing glaze effects created during controlled firing. The bowl features a flared lotus-style form with an attached pedestal base and an integrated internal frog for arranging flower stems. Campbell, co-founder of Campbell Studios in 1979 and a significant figure in Mid-Atlantic production pottery, is known for functional, lead-free ceramic work. Diameter measures approximately 5 1/2 inches. Small glaze chip present revealing bisque; otherwise in good overall condition.
