Description
Decorative fabric art painting, likely executed on barkcloth or a similar textile, depicting a stylized African wildlife scene. The composition features two elephants (an adult and a juvenile), a zebra in the foreground, and two giraffes partially obscured by foliage in the background. The animals are rendered in a folk-art style, with the elephants shown in warm reddish-pink tones, the zebra in black and white, and the surrounding vegetation in blue-green hues. The background retains the natural, aged texture of the fabric, enhancing the rustic character of the work. The piece is bordered by a reddish-pink frame and is signed with the initials “HW” in the lower left. Presented framed. Approximate overall dimensions: 21 inches high by 28 inches wide. Condition is good.
