Description
This is a Japanese Kyo ware porcelain tea set consisting of a teapot and five matching cups. The set is made of white-glazed porcelain with hand-painted decoration visible throughout. The teapot has a rounded body, a side handle, a short spout, and a fitted lid with a small knob and vent hole. The surface decoration includes geometric patterns arranged in panels, stylized landscape elements, and branching foliage motifs distributed around the body and lid. Raised dot detailing and fine line work are visible within the patterned areas, with gilded accents applied along edges and decorative elements. The cups are bowl-shaped with matching hand-painted patterns and interior glazing. Each cup measures approximately 2 inches high by 3 inches across. The lot is in good condition.
