Description
A hand-painted bamboo rainstick. It is a percussion instrument that creates a sound resembling falling rain when tilted. The sound is produced by small pebbles or beads cascading over an internal maze of tines or thorns. It is hand-painted with traditional Aboriginal-style dot designs. They were traditionally used in ceremonies to call for rain and are now used for relaxation and musical ensembles. 31.5" L x 2.25" Dia Good condition.
