Description
A vintage "Gone With the Wind" hurricane lamp, also known as a parlor lamp. It features a hand-painted rose and floral design on frosted or milk glass, a common style from the mid-20th century, particularly the 1940s-1960s. The lamp is designed in the Victorian Revival style, mimicking antique oil lamps but is an electric conversion or was manufactured as electric. It features matching hand-painted rose motifs on both the lower glass base (font) and the upper globe or shade. The top shade has a distinctive ruffled or scalloped edge. The lamp includes an ornate cast metal base, likely brass or brass-plated spelter. 19" H (shorter piece); 24" H (longer piece); 10" W Good condition.
