Description
An antique signet-style ring, featuring a central black stone (possibly onyx or black glass) set in a starburst or "gypsy set" design. The ring has an oval or round face with an engraved starburst pattern radiating from a center-set, round black stone. This style is often referred to as a "star signet" or "gypsy set" ring. In jewelry, the star motif often symbolizes hope, guidance, inspiration, and destiny. The design was popular during the Victorian and Art Deco eras. 1" Good condition.
