Description
An antique Hamilton railroad-grade open-face pocket watch. The watch features a white enamel or porcelain dial with black Arabic hour numerals and a sub-seconds dial at 6 o'clock. It has a gold-filled or brass case and a large crown for winding and setting the time. These watches were known for their high-quality, precise movements, often featuring 21 jewels or more, designed to meet the strict standards for use by railway employees in the early 20th century. 2” x 2 1/2” Please note: some damage to back of case.
