Description
An antique private label watch retailed by W.P. Austin in Port Huron, Michigan. The dial is marked with "W.P. Austin" and "Port Huron, Mich" in a circular script. It features a mechanical (hand-winding) movement, characteristic of vintage pocket watches. The watch has a white enamel or porcelain dial with black Roman numerals for the hours and a separate sub-seconds dial at the 6 o'clock position with Arabic minute markers. The case appears to be gold or gold-filled. The back of the case features elaborate scrollwork and floral etchings. Watches like this were commonly manufactured in the late 19th or early 20th century. 2” x 2 1/2" Good condition.
