Description
A vintage Mexican alpaca silver and abalone shell inlay trinket or pill box, often found in an Art Deco or fan design. The metal is an alloy commonly called "alpaca silver" or nickel silver, not sterling silver, and it features an iridescent abalone shell inlay. These pieces were typically handcrafted by Mexican artisans, often in areas like Taxco, and were popular as tourist souvenirs or folk art. Original closure may have been replaced. 2" Good condition.
