Description
A Halcyon Days pear bonbonniere trinket box. This is an enamel-on-copper box, handmade and hand-enameled in Bilston, England, using traditional 18th-century techniques. It has a stamp on the inside bottom identifying it as "Halcyon Days Enamels, Made in Bilston, England". They typically come as a pear figurine that opens up into a small box, a bonbonniere being a French term for a box intended for "bonbons" or other small favors. H: 3" Good condition.
