Description
A Dino Bencini Italian ceramic figurine known as the "Traveler". Dino Bencini is a renowned 20th-century Florentine artist known for his whimsical and highly detailed, handcrafted ceramic sculptures. It was handmade in Italy, in the 1960s or 1970s, and is crafted from ceramic and terracotta clay, with a distinctive glaze. The figurines feature a characteristic "spaghetti hair" look and exaggerated, expressive features, which give each character a unique personality. Bencini created a collection of figures depicting various professions and characters, such as doctors, artists, golfers, and, in this case, a traveler carrying a suitcase and cup. 5.5" H x 3" W x 2.5" L Good condition.
