Description
A 10k Black Hills ring with a rose and leaf pattern. This style of jewelry is known as Black Hills Gold, a traditional American art form originating from the Black Hills of South Dakota. The distinctive design features hand-engraved leaves and flowers using various shades of gold. Black Hills Gold jewelry typically features 10k or 14k yellow gold as the base metal, accented with 12k rose (pink) and 12k green gold leaves and details. The different colors are achieved by alloying yellow gold with copper (for rose gold) or silver (for green gold). The process is very labor-intensive, involving up to 40 steps, including hand-placing, soldering, and intricate hand-engraving with a diamond-cut finish to bring out the three-dimensional detail. Size: 8 Good condition.
