Description
A vintage garnet cluster ring. The small, closely set red stones are typical of the style known as Bohemian garnet jewelry, popular in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The deep red stones are natural rose-cut garnets, and set in a cluster design to emulate a pomegranate fruit, a classic Victorian motif. The gemstones are set in a mixed-metal setting, and fused to a rose or yellow gold tone band. This type of setting was common for pieces from the Victorian era, which spanned from 1837–1901. Garnets were a highly fashionable choice during this period. Size 6. Good condition.
