Description
A matching pair of vintage JBL loudspeakers housed in bass-reflex cabinets constructed from dense composite wood with walnut veneer exteriors. The cabinets feature matte black front and rear panels and removable Quadrex foam grilles set within walnut frames. The grilles display the distinctive open-cell geometric design associated with JBL speakers from this period. Each speaker is configured as a multi-driver system with a large woofer, midrange driver, and tweeter arranged on the front baffle. Front-mounted attenuator controls are present for midrange and high-frequency level adjustment. The overall design reflects JBL’s transition of studio monitor technology into consumer home audio systems. Each speaker measures approximately 24 inches in height and 16 inches in width. The pair is in good condition.
