Description
A vintage art print depicting a horse-drawn circus or show wagon scene by New Zealand artist Rita Angus. The composition centers on a brightly painted wagon pulled by two horses, accompanied by small human figures positioned at the front and rear, suggesting a traveling show or parade. The imagery reflects a folk-art influence with a balanced, illustrative quality and saturated colors, particularly reds, yellows, and blues contrasted against more muted tones. The print is signed and numbered by the artist, marked 1/90, and mounted on paper. The style aligns with early 20th-century illustrative traditions often associated with traveling circuses and carnivals. Rita Angus (1908–1970) is regarded as a leading figure in twentieth-century New Zealand art, known for her work in painting and watercolor. The print measures approximately 11 inches in height and 14 inches in length. It is in good condition.
