Description
A crystal bowl designed by Lars Hellsten for Orrefors, produced in Sweden between 1989 and 1990. The bowl is made of clear lead crystal and formed in the Lotus pattern, part of the Orrefors giftware line that is now discontinued. The design is inspired by a lotus flower, with a symmetrical multi-petal form that opens outward from the center. The bowl rests on a short, faceted pedestal base that elevates the form and provides stability. The sculptural shape and refined execution reflect Scandinavian glass design principles associated with Orrefors and the work of Lars Hellsten. Measurements are approximately 4.25 inches in height and 7 inches in width and length. It is in good condition.
