Description
A pair of vintage solid brass duck bookends dating to the mid-20th century, circa 1950s–1970s. Each bookend is cast as a detailed half-form sculpture depicting a duck head and upper body, split vertically with a flat back designed to sit flush against books and shelving. The weight and density of the brass provide functional support for books. The sculptural detailing reflects realistic modeling typical of decorative brass objects from the period. The surface displays a naturally developed patina consistent with vintage brass. Each bookend measures approximately 6.75 inches in height, 3.75 inches in width, and 3.5 inches in length. They are in good condition.
