Description
A Chinese Ming style wooden stool constructed from solid hardwood, likely elmwood. The form reflects traditional Ming design principles characterized by clean lines, balanced proportions, and functional simplicity. The stool features a square top with a waisted apron beneath, creating a subtle recessed profile. The frame is supported by four straight legs terminating in curved horse-hoof feet, connected on all sides by humpback stretchers for structural reinforcement. Construction utilizes traditional mortise-and-tenon joinery consistent with Chinese craftsmanship. The stool includes a fitted red cushion. Measurements are approximately 16 inches in height, 14 inches in width, and 20 inches in length. It is in good condition.
