Description
A vintage Mexican sterling silver and carved green onyx mask brooch. The mask itself is a hand-carved green onyx stone. The intricate filigree border and setting are made of sterling silver. The stone is carved to represent an Aztec or Mayan face, either a warrior or tribal god. The design is typically asymmetrical and often features a detailed headdress motif in the silverwork. Stamped "Sterling" at back.Good condition.
