Description
A vintage Italian micro-mosaic floral brooch. It features an intricate floral design created from hundreds of tiny, hand-cut glass pieces called tesserae, set into a gilt metal frame. These brooches were typically made in Italy, especially in workshops in Rome and Florence, and were popular souvenirs for wealthy tourists on the "Grand Tour" of Europe in the 19th century.
