Description
A vintage tie tack, used to secure a necktie to a shirt. It features a cobalt blue glass "gem" set on a silver-tone pin and clutch mechanism. Tie tacks are functional accessories that prevent the tie from swinging or getting in the way. They work by piercing the center of the tie fabric and fastening to the shirt placket via a small pin and clutch on the back, often with a delicate chain for extra security. They are generally placed between the third and fourth buttons of a dress shirt for proper positioning. Good condition.
