Description
A Native American Zuni-style sterling silver inlay hummingbird pin. The intricate mosaic-like design is characteristic of Zuni lapidary work. The pin is set with various hand-cut stones which include turquoise (blue), malachite(green), coral (red), and jet or black onyx (black). The stones are meticulously cut and set into a silver base to create the detailed hummingbird pattern, a process known as stone inlay. In Native American culture, the hummingbird is a significant symbol representing joy, love, beauty, intelligence, and resilience. W: 3" Good condition.
