Description
This is a vintage Japanese fine china hexagonal ginger jar featuring detailed hand-painted decoration of a hummingbird hovering near iris flowers in shades of gold, orange, and reddish brown, outlined in black and gold, all set on a glossy white porcelain ground. The six-sided body is accented with extensive gold trim on the lid and base, and the reverse side displays a bold geometric pattern of interlocking hexagons forming stylized floral or cross motifs in gold, yellow-gold, and reddish brown. The jar is crafted from fine porcelain and showcases clean lines, crisp panel divisions, and gilt detailing. Measures approx. H: 6" | W: 4". Good condition.
