Description
A set of four vintage Royal Worcester Evesham egg coddlers, featuring the iconic Evesham Gold pattern produced in England between 1961 and 2015. Made of fine porcelain, these coddlers display beautifully detailed fruit motifs—including plums, peaches, berries, and foliage—set against a white glazed body. Each piece is topped with a silver-toned screw-on lid with a ring handle. These traditional egg coddlers were used to gently steam or “coddle” eggs by cracking an egg into the buttered porcelain cup, seasoning as desired, fastening the lid, and placing the piece into boiling water until cooked to preference. All four are stamped on the bottom with the Royal Worcester mark. Each coddler measures approximately H: 4" and W: 3", and all are in good condition.
