Description
This vintage Artesanía Rinconada ceramic peacock sculpture is a hand-carved and hand-painted Uruguayan art piece distinguished by its stylized geometric form and detailed surface decoration. Crafted from ceramic with a glossy glaze, the sculpture features deep blue, white, and black tones accented throughout with extensive gold and platinum highlights, particularly along the feathers, crest, and decorative linework. Characteristic of the Rinconada aesthetic, the piece displays strong folk-art influence, refined carving, and the brand’s signature jewel-like finish achieved through multiple colored glazes and precious-metal embellishments. Known internationally for their craftsmanship, Rinconada designs are instantly recognizable for their expressive form and ornate surface treatment. This example is well-preserved and presents beautifully. H: 4.5" | W: 2.5" | L: 3", good condition
