Description
This is an original watercolor painting depicting a rustic maritime dock scene. The artwork shows two white fishing boats moored side-by-side at a wooden pier, with the faint name “LISA” visible on the nearer vessel. Behind the boats are two large, weathered boathouses with brown shingled roofs. The water is rendered in calm blue tones with soft reflections of the boats and pier, while the sky and background foliage are painted with loose, impressionistic brushwork characteristic of traditional American coastal art, often associated with New England harbors. The color palette consists of muted natural tone, blues, browns, and whites. The painting is matted in a double mat with white over dark blue and set in a carved, distressed white wooden frame. H: 27" | W: 35", good condition.
