Description
Japanese cloisonné style porcelain censer or trinket holder featuring an intricate pierced body and detailed enamel decoration. The exterior displays floral and leaf motifs rendered in deep purple, green, black, and soft neutral tones, all bordered and defined by gilded metal wires typical of traditional cloisonné work. The domed lid is fitted with a sculpted gilded butterfly finial. The censer’s openwork design allows visibility of the inner chamber and provides airflow when used for incense. The form is compact and rounded, with evenly applied enamel and well-preserved gilding throughout. H: 3.5" | W: 3.5" | L: 3.5", good condition.
