Description
A set of five antique silver tone spoons in a wooden presentation box. One of the spoons has a sterling silver stamp. Four of the spoons' handles have a plain, elegant design, possibly a variation of the "Old English" or "Fiddle" pattern, popular in the 18th and 19th centuries. The smallest spoon has a more ornate, twisted handle and a decorated bowl back, suggesting it may be a salt or mustard spoon. This spoon has a sterling silver mark. The set is housed in a wooden box, which has a cloth interior for tarnish resistance and an ornate red and gold design on the inside lid. Good condition.
