Description
A pair of traditional Chinese Baoding balls, also known as Chinese health balls, housed in a red, fabric-covered box with a golden clasp and a smooth red interior lining. The balls are a deep, vibrant blue with a marbled texture and each is decorated with a prominent black-and-white Yin-Yang symbol, representing balance and harmony. These Baoding balls are designed to be rotated in one hand to improve dexterity, strength, and motor skills while promoting relaxation. They are contain internal chimes that produce soothing tones when moved—one higher (Yang) and one lower (Yin)—to enhance meditation and stress relief. Originating in Baoding, China during the Ming Dynasty, such balls have been used for centuries to stimulate acupressure points on the hand and improve the flow of “Chi” (vital energy). Condition: Good overall; some wear on the exterior of the box.
