Description
A precision measuring instrument manufactured by the Lufkin Rule Company, designed for high-accuracy work in machining and toolmaking. The No. 99 features a lateral “finger” contact point rather than a plunger, allowing for precise surface and alignment measurements in confined areas, such as checking runout or parallelism. The two-way mechanism enables readings in both clockwise and counter-clockwise directions. It is equipped with jeweled bearings for smooth operation and durability, and the dial face is finely graduated to 0.001". Compact and adjustable, it offers excellent versatility in setup and use.
