Description
A vintage Codd-neck bottle, designed by Hiram Codd in 1872 for carbonated beverages. The bottle's design uses the pressure of the carbonated drink to force a glass marble against a rubber gasket in the neck, which creates a seal. To open the bottle, the marble is pushed down into a special chamber in the bottle's neck. Measures 7.5" and is in good condition.
