Description
This decorative bird figurine is crafted using the traditional cloisonné technique, featuring a fine metal base with intricate enamel work. Thin metal wires, or cloisons, form compartments on the surface, which are filled with vibrant enamel and fired to create a colorful, patterned finish. The long-tailed bird displays detailed crest and tail feathers adorned in shades of blue, green, and gold, with red accents on the head. Popular as Chinese export pieces in the early to mid-20th century, this figurine measures H: 10", good condition.
