Description
This is a traditional two-piece clay cooking set, a double-boiler / steamer, secured within a hand-twisted wire framework. The outer pot is made of unglazed, light-colored clay with a long side handle and a visibly aged surface showing marks and darkening from previous use over an open flame. Wrapped in a metal wire frame, it demonstrates an older construction technique once used to reinforce clay cookware during heating. Nestled inside is a smaller, dark brown glazed inner pot with a matching glazed lid, slightly oversized and fitted with a vent hole and rounded knob. A small wire tool with a ring handle accompanies the set, likely for lifting or adjusting the inner pot during use. Measurements: H: 5.51" | W: 10.24" | L: 8.27". Condition: Good, with natural surface wear consistent with use and age.
