Description
This antique Chinese grain or rice measure bucket, known as a "Dou," dates to the late 19th or early 20th century. Handcrafted from wood—often elm or poplar—the bucket features dovetail corner joints and is reinforced with iron or copper bands for durability. Originally used for carrying and measuring rice or other grains, it now serves as a charming rustic decorative piece. Square, slightly tapered shape and rich, deep brown patina. H: 9" | W: 15". Good condition.
