Description
This collectible miniature represents a High Wheeler, or Penny-farthing bicycle, a popular design from the 1870s and 1880s. The High Wheeler is distinguished by its large front wheel and much smaller rear wheel, which historically provided higher speeds and a smoother ride. The miniature is crafted from metal with a black finish and may feature a wooden-style seat, reflecting the design of the original bicycles. High Wheelers were iconic symbols of the late Victorian era and the early days of cycling as a sport. H: 6.5" | W: 7", good condition.
