Description
The base of the piece is a large kokeshi doll, featuring a round head and cylindrical body, hand-painted with a serene expression and an orange kimono adorned with white patterns. Kokeshi dolls, originating from Japan’s Tohoku region, are believed to bring good fortune and symbolize protection and the wish for healthy growth. Inserted into the top of the main doll are several smaller wooden sticks, each fashioned as miniature kokeshi figures. These serve as cocktail picks or toothpicks, featuring delicately painted faces and red-and-white striped bodies. This item measures H: 5.12" | W: 1.57" | L: 1.57" and is in good condition.
