Description
These antique Chinese porcelain plates date to the late Qing dynasty, likely from the late 19th to early 20th century. Each plate features a central decoration of a stylized ribbon / ruyi sceptre, a traditional Chinese ceremonial symbol representing good fortune. The design is rendered in iron-red overglaze, a color often associated with joy and auspiciousness in Chinese art, with touches of gold decoration. The porcelain itself has a pale celadon-like glaze. Good condition.
