Description
This is a medium-sized, barrel-shaped traditional Chinese tanggu drum with two animal-skin heads. The drum is crafted from multiple wooden slats glued together to form its barrel shape, and the skins are stretched over the open ends, secured with rows of tacks. It is played with two sticks and commonly used in folk ensembles, Chinese opera, and other traditional ceremonies. The pitch and tone vary depending on the force and location of the strike on the drumhead. Dimensions: H: 24" | W: 26". Good condition.
