Description
A Japanese Tokoname pottery vase, from the early to mid 20th century, featuring a relief design of a dragon. The cylindrical vase is made of black and brown pottery with a highly textured surface, and the dragon is sculpted in high relief wrapping around the body. Tokoname pottery is known for its durable, high-iron clay and traditional Japanese ceramic techniques. The vase measures H: 13.5" x W: 5" and has a chip on the dragon’s lower mouth area.
