Description
A vintage Powerstat variable transformer with a single winding and a movable carbon brush that acts like a wiper to tap off voltage at different points along the winding. This allows the output voltage to be smoothly and continuously adjusted. The Powerstat brand is known for its rugged and heavy-duty design.
