Description
An authentic, vintage "La Fonda" molded fiberglass armchair, designed by Charles and Ray Eames in 1961 for Herman Miller. This iconic chair, originally commissioned by Alexander Girard for the La Fonda del Sol restaurant, features a lower back profile than the standard Eames shell chairs. This example has a dark blue fiberglass shell on its original 4-star pedestal base. Charles and Ray Eames are considered among the most influential designers of the 20th century. The item's measurements are 32" (H) x 25" (W) and it is in good condition; the fiberglass shell has scuffs and wear consistent with age, and the original seat cushion is missing.
